A New Year is Upon Us
Exciting New Work for 2025 and Reflections on 2024
As we step into 2025, I'm thrilled to share some of the new and exciting works that will be unveiled this year. The past year has been a journey filled with inspiration, and Dustin looks forward to continuing on with the same excitement this year and beyond.
New Works for 2025
Debuting “Cowboys of the OK Corral” as a simple study in the early stages last year at Santa Fe Trails Fine Art; Dustin received amazing feedback and is excited to be putting the finishing touches on the large ‘maquette’ size right now. I’m looking forward and can’t wait to share photos of the finished piece in clay soon. This piece is special, as it is a companion piece to his father, Vic Payne’s “Walk to Tombstone”. Both sculptures are available in the larger maquette size as well as a smaller study. Stay tuned for more info!
Additionally, I am excited to share that Dustin will be showing his work at the Briscoe Night of Artists this year in March. We are thrilled to be able to attend this show in San Antonio, so we look forward to seeing you all there. More Info can be found on our SHOWS page.
Reflection on 2024
Looking back at 2024, it was a year marked by engaging shows and encouraging community interactions. One of the standout events was the annual Indian Market Show at Santa Fe Trails Fine Art, where my newest work drew diverse audiences from art enthusiasts to ranchers who share a love for the lifestyle portrayed in my pieces. The response was overwhelmingly positive, reaffirming the timeless connection people have with the stories told through bronze.
Overcoming setbacks when one of our main art foundries burnt down was a time to pivot and push forward. It was challenging but our wonderful collectors have been astoundingly understanding on foundry time-frames, and we are so grateful for that.
Looking Ahead
As we embrace this new year, I am deeply grateful for the support from all of you; art collectors, enthusiasts, and friends alike. Your appreciation inspires Dustin to push the boundaries of his work and explore new narratives within the Western genre.
Stay tuned for more updates as the year progresses! I can't wait to share these new creations with you and invite you to appreciate the rich tapestry of the Western way of life through art. Here's to a wonderful 2025 filled with creativity and connection!
